Moments of Truth (and fun)

One of the many pleasures of training, consultancy and coaching is when you get to combine some serious teaching with a bit of fun.

Today is the penultimate performance of the revival tour of the smash hit Top Hats, Toast & Moments of Truth, with my friend Sheila Scott who will be back on stage for the first time since June.

For those interested – the very last performance, after which we turn out the lights, throw away the top hats and retire into Sheila’s dotage and my last 34 years at work, will be on 17th April 2019 in Edinburgh.

Quite apart from the pleasure of co-presenting with my cycling buddy, team trainer extraordinaire and raging banshee of The Highlands Mrs. Scott, there is the knowledge that we are going to make a difference to our audience today and create an environment in which laughter can be the catalyst for personal and professional development.

Sheila and I will be talking about:

  • how to create environments in which teams can work together most effectively and, sometimes, make difficult decisions;
  • how teams can collaborate to design new systems and protocols;
  • how to deliver a customer service experience that turns patients into brand ambassadors

I can’t wait to get our there today and have some fun with a best friend.

Perhaps by the end of the day we will have seen a few lightbulb moments with our audience.
