I’ve been invited to return in 2012 as the Chairman of the business track at The Dentistry Show.
Last year’s programme will be a hard act to follow – those attending will remember that the room was packed for all of the presentations – at some we had to turn people away!
The purpose of this blog post is to request volunteers to speak on the track with me.
At the moment, the bases we have covered are:
•           An overview of the 2012 market
•           Inside tips on how best to buy or sell a practice
•           Web-marketing and SEO
•           Team motivation – how to get the best from your people
•           Social media marketing in dentistry
•           Sales training latest tips
I’m looking for TWO more main speakers – on any subjects not covered in the list above and that are relevant to 21st Century independent practice.
What I’d love to see is innovation and speakers who can push the envelope on business thinking – people who can challenge the audience and give great ideas out – not just promote their own business (if you are good enough, they will find you).

That’s not all.
A success story last year was to devote the last hour of each day to a “how I did it” session.
On Friday we featured young dentists who had opened their own practice.
Saturday was a showcase for the experienced practitioner.
This time I want to stay relevant.
On Friday, I’m looking for “real life” stories from three of the newest jobs in dentistry:
•           The Treatment Co-ordinator
•           The Clinical Dental Technician
•           The Therapist
On Saturday, we are repeating the first session from 2011 and I’m looking for THREE principals who have bought or established practices in the last 5 years – to come and share with us the peaks and troughs and their top tips for those who follow.
So here is my invitation – to come and volunteer as a speaker – I’ll coach you on your speaking skills if you need help.
