Results that speak for themselves

Occasionally we all get so wrapped up in the execution of what we do that we forget about the difference that we make.

That’s why collecting patient testimonials isn’t just about feeding the relentless appetite of your marketing machine. It can sometimes be a good reminder to you and your team that you are doing good things.

Likewise in business and personal coaching. My equally relentless travel can leave me exhausted at the end of a week and wondering just exactly what I did?

So my conversation with a former client on Monday morning, who asked for a quick chat to answer a question on his strategic future, provided an unexpected and very motivating start to my week.

Chris, let me give you an update on the results we have achieved from working with you…

Turnover:

2015 – £536,000

2016 – £633,000

2017 (projected) – £711,000

Net Profit Before Tax:

2015 – £91,120

2016 – £164,580

2017 (projected) – £177,750

Days worked per week by owner:

2015 – 5.5

2016 – 5

2017 – 4 (and no longer taking work home)

Those are exactly the results I would expect from working with a 3-chair private practice, whether owner-managed (as in this case) or acquired as part of the expansion of a micro-corporate.

The bonus from working with an owner-manager is that they are often reclaiming their family life along the way.

A long time ago I coined the strap line “more profit in less time with happier people” and it is good to see that, even though markets and technologies change over the years, that bottom line result can still be targeted.

At times like this, I love my job.
