It’s 3.30am on Sunday morning in London and I’m back from my 10-days in Canada and unable to sleep.
The good news (?) is that I have been awake since midnight and cleared the emails from last week – that’s a big tick on the professional “to do” list and I have mentally agreed with myself that my vacation ended last night.
As did my enjoyment of the World Cup as England were, yet again, beaten on penalties by Portugal. Goodbye and good riddance to the England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, whose strategy in picking the squad and tactics for the competition were both unimaginative and depressing.
I’m back off to bed now to see if I can catch up on some sleep before a busy workshop week ahead – it’s only a game….
