James Goolnik on the tooth whitening debate

James Goolnik We are trying to put an adjournment in parliament and are lobbying Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) but these things take time. In the meantime my advice and what I have put in place: 1.ALL whitening treatments need a consultation first and are part of a COURSE of dental treatment. 2. ONLY using 10% Carbamide peroxide take home and whatever you want in-surgery (I use 25% Hydrogen peroxide). 3. Written consent for all patients, with pre-operative photograph and alternatives offered. Marketing as before. There is no parapet, I’m acting in the best interests of my patients and I look forward to any challenge.
