After a few days with my family over the school half-term holidays.Highlights of the break were watching England play Hungary at Old Trafford on Tuesday night and a go-karting session on Wednesday.
The first was a great spectacle, seeing the newly extended Theatre of Dreams for the first time, watching what turned out to be a good game of football, sitting next to a giant Hungarian man who claimed that his national team had God on their side and singing our National Anthem at the top of my voice. God, incidentally, deserted his team at half-time and we won 3-1.
The karting was fun – especially being beaten by my eldest boy – ah, how the greatest teachers are those who create pupils who go on to even greater things – well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. Two-tenths of a second better on his fastest lap – little sod.
In Glasgow this morning to spend the day with a group of 26 dentists invited by Braemar Finance and Independent Care Plans to listen to my presentation on financial management for dental practice owners.
Back with a vengeance!
