It's time to embrace dental therapy

Last Friday I attended a Council meeting of the British Association of Dental Therapists with a view to becoming involved as an (unpaid) advisor. The Council were very gracious in listening to some predictably direct feedback on the existing brand, objectives and operational aspects of the Association.

I’m there for altruistic reasons – because I have written and spoken about my confidence in the future role of the therapist. I’m also there for professional reasons – because I would like the Barrow Kwong Hing Group to create a career pathway for up to 200 therapists over the next 5-10 years. You’ll be hearing more of me and the Association and I hope you will be seeing some very positive developments. I’m very confident, having met with Council, that there are people there who have a bigger future.
Here is the flyer for their national conference in Glasgow.
