Baring all

When I invited the team at Ollie and Darsh to take the stage at The Royal College on 5th February, it was with the specific request that they “tell the truth” about their first 14 months of trading.

“Warts and all”, I wanted the breakdown of income and expenditure – and the way in which their marketing budget had been allocated.

I wanted the audience to see the “winners and losers” as far as their marketing was concerned.

They didn’t disappoint and, to an audience of over 75, Principal Daz Singh (pictured) and business manager Suzy Gorman gave an excellent session.

This after I had waxed lyrical about the future of dentistry and Guy Levine had taken a close look at web-based marketing, with particular reference to SEO.

You may be interested to know that SEO is currently leading the field as far as the O&D marketing is concerned, with a return of £17 for every £1 invested.

That’s a very impressive rate of return – if you don’t have a sparkling and optimised web site, beware!
