Appreciation

It really does make the world seem a better place.
Presenting in Birmingham yesterday, I was addressing the issue of “team building” and explaining that appreciation does more to build morale than money or training. Just a heartfelt “thank you” makes all the difference.
As I spoke, an email popped into my in-box from a dentist who attended in Leeds on Monday – one of four I have received in the last 24 hours to say how much they enjoyed the day and were inspired by the content and the environment we create.
Living in a stressful world can be exhausting – but to read such an appreciative email at the end of the day or (as now) first thing in the morning makes ALL the difference.
To quote Ivan Misner, “givers gain” – so I ask you to ask yourself, “do I give enough appreciation to those around me?”
