A first for Facebook

Whilst at the recent ITI UK Conference in Liverpool, I had the opportunity to catch up with DBC Mastermind client, Nick Fahey from Woodborough Dental in Reading. He mentioned that as part of his work with the regional ITI study club that they performed a live surgery learning event from their surgery and also broadcast it via their facebook page. Now as far as I’m aware (and the guys at ApexSocial who manage both their and my social media accounts) this was a world first. Broadcasting a live surgery via a Facebook page where you can log in and ask questions in real time is certainly not commonplace and once again demonstrates that we are not always harnessing the power of these channels and utilising the full capabilities they provide for us to engage as and with brands.
