The Innovation of Loneliness

Invest 4.5 minutes of your day in watching this video – it says everything that should be said by those who “oppose” the inexorable growth of social media.
Here is the argument that you can refer to every time you want to say that social media is a modern curse.
No doubt a similar statement could have been made about the invention of language, the written word, the printing press, the telegraph, the telephone, the radio, the TV and the internet.
Evolution in science is inevitable and, thus, the way we communicate – it is what we do about it that matters.
Whilst I agree with the authors warning – where are you going with that?
The simple message for me is not “burn the witch” but “embrace progress, rejoice in the advances that we witness – but please make sure you nourish a life of intimacy”.
