The Four C's

Split your dental team(s) as follows:

  1. Dentists
  2. Hygienists and Therapists
  3. Nurses
  4. Receptionists
  5. Treatment Co-ordinators
  6. Management and administration

Separate them, give them magic whiteboard and marker pens.
Exercise 1
Ask them to rate the practice(s) at the moment. Marks out of 10 for each of the four quadrants above.
Exercise 2
Ask them to write a list of the roadblocks that stop the score for that quadrant being 8/10 (your target is four 8’s).
Exercise 3
Ask them to write a list of the solutions that can be implemented in the next 90 days to move the quadrant scores towards four 8’s.
Exercise 4 (this is the scary one)
Compare the answers to all three exercises between the groups – and think about why their perceptions can be so different.
Exercise 5
Create an action plan for the next 90 days and agree the dates of review meetings.
Exercise 6
Repeat every 90 days.
