Merry Christmas

I have to admit that we have bombarded you with information in recent weeks on products/services and new stuff here at 7connections.
The 7connections virtual offices will close this evening, after our Get Your Year in Gear webinar (over 200 registered to attend), for those who attend a chance to win a Kindle HD Fire, for those who register and do not attend we will send you a link to watch a recording over your turkey sandwiches.
There is just so much going on here – and that is always a reflection of what is happening to you.
You are busy, you can see opportunity, you face challenges, you are evolving new ideas and you are no longer prepared to tolerate the status quo.
I’ve just completed a review and update of last year’s webinar slides and it is re-assuring to see that not much has changed when it comes to personal organisation. I’m looking forward to welcoming a new crew on the 31-day journey to self-improvement that we enjoyed so much last January.
Next year?
I predict an explosion of technology in both clinical and non-clinical aspects of dentistry.
I predict the cloud becoming more important.
I predict an explosion in e-commerce, on-line booking and m-commerce.
I predict a huge leap forward in business data analysis.
I predict evolution in push technology, as it applies to lead generation and patient management.
We are already seeing signs of this and intend to stay at the innovative edge as it applies to the business of dentistry.
However, no amount of technology will replace a smiling face and that “no problem, leave it with me, I’ll get it sorted” attitude that remains at the core of the independent sector.
Computers, tablets and smartphones are now necessities of daily living – but they can never replace the passion of a committed individual who loves their job.
Next year – the bar is raised on customer service – and there will be no room for the half-hearted.
Take a moment (as I will) this Christmas to be thankful that you have a job – and resolve to make 2014 the year that you shine.
