Magic Box – part 2

Last week I set the scene with the view that lack of marketing ideas isn’t the problem facing most Principals – its the lack of resources (time, money and people) to deploy a comprehensive marketing plan.
Geraint Buse is the Principal of Marquess Dental, a small mixed practice that he opened a few short years ago in that place with the longest name in Wales (just over the Menai Bridge into Anglesey).
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch – would you fancy that as a domain name .com?

Its a lovely little practice with an evolving team and at 7connections we have grown very fond of Geraint’s endless enthusiasm, willingness to innovate and positive outlook.
He’s one of those nice people that are a pleasure to work with, so when the idea of Magic Box first took shape in our collective imagination he was a natural choice to become the first practice to beta test the concept.
After detailed conversations with Tim Caudrelier and Karl Taylor-Knight here at 7c, we enrolled Karl’s skills as a designer to create the first ever Magic Box.
Roll out was planned for Monday 2nd December 2013 and the chosen theme was tooth whitening.
In Geraint’s first Magic Box:

  • a TV loop for the patient lounge
  • in-house practice posters
  • large format banners for the practice exterior
  • A-Board
  • adverts for the local press
  • themed appointment cards
  • web site banner
  • social media banners
  • social media video
  • a patient satisfaction survey
  • a 12-month marketing plan
  • a promise that we will deliver month by month themed “boxes”
  • a detailed return on investment tracker

Tomorrow I will share with you examples of the Marquess material and we will hear from Geraint on how things are going at the half-way point through the month – stay tuned.
