Many of you will know that Annie and I have both dedicated some time to the dental charity Bridge2Aid over the years. This year, we will continue to be ambassadors not just for Bridge2Aid itself but also for the new B2A Unity Partnership because I believe that this represents a very exciting new development in the history of the charity. As a Founder Member of the Bridge2Aid Unity Partnership I will be making the same financial commitment as that required from participating dental practices.
The Unity Partnership involves a select group of dental practices and businesses recognised by Bridge2Aid for their support of the emergency dental training of a Tanzanian Clinical Officer. Unity Partners sponsor the training for an initial £2,500 followed by an annual contribution of £250 for three years. The Clinical Officer goes on to work in their local community treating thousands of people who would otherwise have no access to dental care, providing vital relief from pain.
I strongly encourage those of you who are interested to support this initiative to have a look at the website for more information and inspiration: http://www.bridge2aidunitypartnership.org/members.html
In addition, I am fundraising for B2A through the following activities
1. April: The London Marathon
2. August: Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Annie
I am grateful for anyone who would like to sponsor me for these activities via my our Just Giving page http://www.justgiving.com/coachbarrow
