50 days to go, £50,000 to raise, 5 going forth

50 days

50 days from now, the “famous five” will be setting off from Lands End to cycle 960-miles north to John O’Groats

Myself, Sheila Scott, Ashley Latter, Simon Tucker and Les Jones have committed to make the journey and raise funds for Cancer Research, Bridge2Aid and BrushUpUK.

To be clear – we are all cycling, all the way – this isn’t a relay!

We have set an ambitious target of £50,000 in fund-raising and we are delighted that, with the help of our sponsors – Wesleyan, Practice Plan, Dental Sky and Dental Focus, ALL of the funds we raise will go straight to the good causes.

Having passed £10,000 in the last few days, we are thrilled with the support so far from the dental community.

So this morning, I’m saying “thank you” and asking for your continued support.

You can help in three ways:

  • Donate – every pound makes a difference – by visiting our web site at FiveGoForth and hitting that “donate” button on the home page;
  • Ride with us for a day (or more) – we would love to see you for a day and have allocated 5 guest spots on each of our 15 days of continuous cycling – to register your interest in joining us for part of the journey, simply complete your details on this page of the web site CLICK HERE;
  • Spread the word – whether you read this blog post direct or via a social media channel, please share our story with your family, friends and colleagues – we have all been touched in some way by the tremendous work each of our good causes do and by spreading the word, you can help us to reach more people.

50 days – please help us to help many
